How We Started
On the night of 22nd October, we took our very first step by creating a simple Google form, praying that a few chess enthusiasts would join so we could collect funds to buy boards and pieces. To our surprise, 11 members joined that very day, and within a month we had grown to 40 passionate players. With this energy, we began hosting offline tournaments—first in Madhuban, then at VT, and later in the Institute of Agricultural Sciences. Since then, we have organized more than 15 offline and 40 online tournaments, building a vibrant community of players. Along the way, we introduced our own exclusive award—Diamond Membership—which has been earned by 7 outstanding members so far, and launched our signature title tournament, “The Defending Champion.” What started as a small idea has now become a thriving club, uniting players through both competition and friendship.
